Hi I’m Joanna
I am a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist who’s experienced first-hand how powerful small shifts in thinking can be. CBT helped me through a difficult time, giving me the understanding and tools to feel more confident in myself and that’s why I’m passionate about helping others find the same clarity and hope. I offer online sessions for anyone aged 18 and over, where therapy feels safe, practical and supportive.

How I Can Help
Quick FAQ’s
Can CBT be done online?
- Yes! Online CBT is just as effective as in-person sessions and gives you the flexibility to attend from home or wherever suits you best. You’ll still get the same collaborative, supportive experience as in- person therapy.
How long does CBT take?
- The number of sessions varies depending on each person and the challenges they are working on. Many people start noticing positive changes within 6–12 sessions, but some goals or patterns may take a little longer. It’s all about finding what works best for you.
Is CBT just positive thinking?
- Not at all. CBT isn’t about ignoring difficulties or forcing yourself to feel positive. It’s about understanding thought patterns, noticing unhelpful thinking, and learning practical ways to respond more effectively, so life feels a little easier to navigate.
Is CBT suitable for everyone?
- CBT can be helpful for most people, but it’s not a one-size fits- all approach. A therapist will work with you to make sure the approach fits your unique needs, goals, and situation.
What happens in a CBT session?
- Sessions usually involve talking through current challenges, exploring thoughts and behaviours, and trying practical strategies to respond differently. You may also be given small exercises or reflections to try between sessions, helping you practice new ways of thinking and acting in daily life.
